Weekly Net

Winnebago County ARES/RACES meets on the air every Sunday at 7PM local time, on the 147.240 (PL 100.0 Hz) repeater. The net is open to anybody wishing to checking in.

Severe Weather

April is usually when the NWS conducts Spotter Training. The training course is now online and is free and provides for a certificate and can be used in place of or in conjunction with the classroom training.  Check the NWS site for dates and times.

We offer training at every meeting.

Online Courses

Here are some online courses for Emergency Communications and FEMA courses that provide background into the Incident Command System. These courses can be completed on-line using the links provided.

• ICS-100 “Introduction to Incident Command System”

• ICS-200 “Incident Command System for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents”

• ICS-700 “National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction”

Meetings held the 4th monday of the month.
